At the beginning of 2017, the company SIGET DIZALA installed an electric elevator at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb. In order to save space, an elevator without a machine room (MRL lift) was installed. In an elevator without a machine room, the drive machine is located on top of the elevator, so we did not need an additional room to accommodate the drive machine and elevator control. In place of the old stairs, a glazed steel structure was built, and the entire project was done on a “turnkey” basis. The lift has a capacity of 675 kg, can carry 9 people and has 4 stations. In order for the elevator to have an interesting external appearance, adapted to the environment and the students who use it, the glazed steel structure is covered with stickers with QR codes. This solution turned out to be very interesting for all elevator users.
